Opportunity Zones are an economic and community development tools established by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 designed to drive long-term capital to low-income communities. The Office of Research, Outreach, and Economic Development has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development (TNECD) to promote the Opportunity Zones (OZ) in West Tennessee.
